The rest sinks into oblivion.” TUDOR VIANU A Brief Record of the “George Bacovia” University 1992 - The George Bacovia University of Bacau was set up, having the following departments: Law Economics, with specializations: Economic Engineering, Finance-Accounting 1994 - Curricular reform: New Accounting and Business Data Processing specialization set up at Economics Department First Charter and Statute of the George Bacovia University were drawn up Self-evaluation dossiers were lodged with the National Academic Evaluation and Accreditation Council (NAEAC) with a view to obtaining provisional license 1995 - Provisional license was issued for the specialization Accounting and Business Data Processing (Government Decision 225/1995) and the Department of Accounting and Business Data Processing was created 1996 - First class graduated 1998 - Two new departments were set up (4-year day courses and 5-year part-time courses) with the specializations licensed under GD 442/1998 The Management Department, with specialization in Company Management The Business Administration Department, with specialization in Marketing 1999 - Accreditation dossier was lodged for the specialization Accounting and Business Data Processing within the Department of Accounting and Business Data Processing, accompanied by the application for the institutional accreditation of the University 2000 - Provisional license was obtained for the specialization Public Administration within the Department of Management 2001 - Licensing of the Economic Informatics Department by GD 410/2002 - Accreditation was obtained for the specialization Accounting and Business Data Processing 2002 - Accreditation of the “George Bacovia” University by Law 237/2002 ...
